What is the school’s curriculum?

As a play-based school, all activities are curated by the teacher emphasizing curiosity, creativity, experimental learning and social-emotional development to lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

No, there is no potty training required.

Would your school be a good fit for my child with special needs?

Yes. We admit students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at our schools. We do not discriminate due to an association or perceived association with a protected class, including, but not limited to race; color; religion or national and ethnic origin; sex; sexual orientation; gender expression or identity; disability; age; citizenship; marital or veteran status; or genetic information in the administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, financial assistance programs, and other school-administered policies.

What are the food allergy guidelines?

No nuts or nut products (nut butter, foods containing nuts) are allowed in the classroom. To reduce the possibility of choking, we also prohibit high risk foods such as chips, popcorn, candy, gum or chewy fruit snacks, marshmallows, grapes or large pieces of fruits, chunks of raw fruits or veggies (thin slices are OK), hot dogs & sausages, cheese in rounds or cubes (shreds, slices and string cheese are OK).

What are the responsibilities of a member?

  • Participation in class: attend one day per week per class to cover a work station.

  • Meetings: attend monthly meetings, the 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:30 pm. Attendance at both the business and Member education portions of the meeting is required.

  • Cleaning: assist with cleaning the classroom during one weekend per school year and participate in the end of year cleaning. Board members are excluded from cleanings.

  • Member job: perform an assigned job or serve on the Board. Examples of member jobs are Class Coordinator Assistant, Classroom Photographer, Treasurer Assistant. Examples of Board positions are Secretary, Registrar, Marketing Coordinator, Class Coordinator.

  • Snack: provide nutritious snacks for the children on a rotating basis in the 2’s and 3’s classes. Children in the 4’s/Pre-K class bring lunch from home.

  • Tuition: pay monthly tuition on time.

What if I am unable to attend school on my workday?

It is the responsibility of each Member to find a qualified substitute when unable to complete workday requirements—even in the event of an illness or vacation. You can reach out to other Members in your class to find a substitute or your Class Coordinator.

Can I terminate enrollment at any time?

Yes. However, two weeks written notice must be given to terminate enrollment in the Co-op. Also, tuition must be paid up through the end of the two-week period.
